Who we are
This website, aeodirect.com, is run by AEO DIRECT, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. AEO DIRECT is responsible for the processing described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, email robheilbron@gmail.com.
What we collect
This website has no accounts, forms or newsletter. We only process personal data in two situations:
Website analytics. Only if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors navigate between them. Google Analytics collects data such as the pages you visit, the time of your visit, your browser and device type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics data is collected.
Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, which we use only to reply to you.
Legal basis
We use Google Analytics only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We process emails you send us to respond to your request (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Cookies
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics places the following cookies:
_ga: distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years.
_ga_<ID>: keeps the state of your visit. Expires after 2 years.
We also store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage, so we do not ask you again on every page. This is necessary to respect your choice and contains no personal data.
We use Google Consent Mode. Advertising features (ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation) are always switched off on this website. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Google as processor
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes analytics data on our behalf. Data may be transferred to and processed by Google LLC in the United States. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information is available in Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it automatically. Cookies expire as listed above, or earlier if you withdraw consent or clear your browser. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up.
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via , also linked in the footer of every page. When you withdraw consent, analytics stops immediately and the Google Analytics cookies are removed. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email us at the address above. Note that we cannot always link Google Analytics data to a specific person, as it is based on a random cookie identifier.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

We may update this policy when our website or the services we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
